The Switzerland Entry Form can be gathered at the Swiss Federal Office of Foreigners or at the Swiss embassy. It can be collected at any time of the year except during the Football World Cup (Federation Cup) in Germany in the summer months of August and September. The form is to be filled out so as to prove your identity. The applicant should write their title, date of birth and address. There are no charges for the Swiss visa and you don't have to pay for it.
The processing of your visa may take up to two weeks once you submit all the necessary requirements. When the processing is complete, you'll receive a visa number and a receipt. You'll also get a passbook which can be your travel guide which proves you have the right of entry into Switzerland. The passbook includes important information such as the paths to choose, how long one must stay in each location and in what time they must return. A photo identification card along with a national ID card can also be supplied upon receipt of your visa.
You also have the choice of applying for an extension to your visa if you are staying in Switzerland for a longer time period. If you're planning to travel around Europe, then you must also apply for an international travel card which proves your citizenship. You can apply for these cards in any given Swiss embassy or in the Swiss Federal Office of Foreigners. You also have the option of applying for an EEC extension which would allow you to remain in a different country for an extra two years.
You can apply for a visa online via the Swiss Federal Office of Foreigners' Web Site. There is also an internet application from the Swiss embassy's website. You have to provide your date of birth, passport and social security number. These forms can be found in several languages including English.
